Our goal is to create the future of eyewear that is socially and environmentally responsible through the creative process of interdisciplinary design. Our team is comprised of designers, engineers, and creatives who are dedicated to exploring new techniques across a variety of fields including computational design, material engineering, and digital fabrication technologies.

All of our creative departments work interdependently, creating information for themselves and for each other. Our purpose is not only designing for commercial reasons but for research, experimentation, academic production, most important of all for future betterment. Our success comes from this different approach and mindset.

Humax works in 2 main areas: design and research. We design for our brands, while we collaborate with others. We work on designs for special projects and create one-of-a-kind products with artists and creatives. Besides common eyewear designs, we work on conceptual projects as well. We make research about sustainable design, where we experiment with materials. We use computational design and digital fabrication technologies like 3D printers. We design product experience, and research about ergonomics of eyewear.
휴맥스옵틱은 디자인과 연구개발이라는 두 가지 주요 사업을 하고 있습니다. 먼저 자사 브랜드, 그리고 콜라보레이션 디자인을 하고 있습니다. 자사 아이웨어를 통해서는 우리의 일상에 필요한 디자인을 전개하며, 아티스트와의 협업을 통해서는 특별한 아이웨어를 만드는 컨셉추얼 프로젝트를 진행합니다. 또한 재생 플라스틱을 활용한 지속 가능한 디자인을 추구하고 있으며, 컴퓨테이셔널 디자인, 3D 프린팅과 같은 첨단 디지털 제조 기술을 연구하고 있습니다. 휴맥스옵틱은 제품 경험을 설계하고, 가장 인체 공학적인 아이웨어를 만들기 위한 연구를 지속하고 있습니다.
